Report Generator

These Product-Specific Terms of Service for the Bloctopus Report Generator (“Product Terms”) supplement the Bloctopus Intelligence general Terms of Service available on the Website (the “General Terms”). In the event of any inconsistency, these Product Terms prevail only in relation to the Report Generator.

1. Provider and Product

The Report Generator is provided by Bloctopus Intelligence, d.o.o. (“Bloctopus”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

The Report Generator is a digital tool that enables users to submit information about a suspected crypto-related incident and receive an automatically generated forensic-style report in PDF format (the “Report”). The Report may include, among other things, a summary of the incident, transaction-flow analysis, identification of certain destinations or counterparties where possible, visualizations, and an indicative assessment of possible next steps.

2. Acceptance of These Product Terms

By accessing, using, submitting data to, paying for, or generating a Report through the Report Generator, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to:

these Product Terms;
the General Terms; and
the applicable Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Report Generator.

3. Eligibility and Permitted Use

You may use the Report Generator only if you are legally capable of entering into binding agreements under applicable law.

You may use the Report Generator solely for lawful purposes, including to document a suspected crypto scam, theft, fraud, or related incident for your own internal use, for reporting to law enforcement, or for obtaining independent professional advice.

You must not use the Report Generator:

for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, misleading, or malicious purposes;
to submit false claims or fabricated evidence;
to infringe the rights, privacy, confidentiality, or data protection rights of third parties; or
to reverse engineer, scrape, interfere with, or misuse the Product or its outputs.

4. User Inputs and Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for all data, documents, wallet addresses, transaction hashes, screenshots, descriptions, and other materials submitted through the Report Generator (“User Inputs”).

By submitting User Inputs, you represent and warrant that:

the information you submit is true, accurate, and complete to the best of your knowledge;
you are authorized to submit the relevant information and materials;
your submission and use of the Product do not violate any law or third-party rights; and
you understand that incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading inputs may materially affect the accuracy and usefulness of the Report.

Bloctopus may suspend processing or refuse to generate a Report where it reasonably suspects misuse, illegality, sanctions risk, fraud, or material inaccuracies.

5. Nature of the Report

The Report Generator is an automated analytical tool. The Report is generated on the basis of User Inputs, publicly available blockchain data, third-party data sources, and Bloctopus’s proprietary analytical logic.

The Report is intended as an informational and evidentiary-support document only. It is designed to help users better understand transaction flows and to support reporting to competent authorities or consultation with independent legal or forensic professionals.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement, the Report Generator is a self-service digital product and does not create an attorney-client relationship, fiduciary relationship, consultancy engagement, or separate professional-services engagement with Bloctopus.

6. Important Disclaimers

No guarantee of recovery.
The Report Generator may provide an indicative assessment of the probability of successful recovery or follow-up action based on the apparent destinations of funds. However, generation of a Report does not guarantee that any crypto-assets, funds, or value will be traced, frozen, recovered, returned, or otherwise made available to you.

No legal advice.
The Report and the Report Generator do not constitute legal advice, legal representation, financial advice, investment advice, regulatory advice, or any other form of professional advice. You remain solely responsible for deciding whether and how to contact law enforcement, exchanges, lawyers, regulators, insurers, or other third parties.

Third-party data reliance.
The Report Generator relies in part on third-party infrastructure and publicly accessible blockchain data sources, including APIs and other external data providers. Bloctopus does not control those sources and does not warrant that such data is complete, current, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Analytical limitations.
Blockchain tracing is inherently subject to technical and evidentiary limitations. Attribution of wallet activity to real-world persons or entities may be probabilistic, incomplete, or impossible. Certain tools and behaviors, including mixers, bridges, chain-hopping, privacy-enhancing techniques, OTC transfers, missing off-chain evidence, or uncooperative third parties, may reduce traceability and the usefulness of the Report.

7. No Obligation to Act

Bloctopus is not required to investigate further, contact exchanges, communicate with law enforcement, preserve evidence, update the Report, or provide any follow-up services unless separately agreed in a written engagement.

Purchase or generation of a Report does not oblige Bloctopus to accept you as a client for any broader forensic, legal, or recovery-related engagement.

8. Fees, Payment, and Refunds

The Report Generator is offered on a pay-per-report basis, unless stated otherwise on the Website.

All fees are payable upfront through the payment method made available on the Website. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, fees are non-refundable once processing has started or once the Report has been generated and made available to you.

Bloctopus may change pricing at any time for future purchases. The price displayed at the time of checkout applies to your order.

9. Delivery and Availability

Bloctopus will use reasonable efforts to make the Report Generator available and to generate Reports within a commercially reasonable timeframe. However, Bloctopus does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, continuous uptime, immediate processing, or error-free operation.

We may suspend, limit, modify, or discontinue the Report Generator at any time for legal, compliance, operational, security, technical, or business reasons.

10. Intellectual Property and Use of Reports

All intellectual property rights in the Report Generator, including its software, methodology, analytical logic, design, templates, and underlying systems, remain the exclusive property of Bloctopus or its licensors.

Subject to full payment of the applicable fee, Bloctopus grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the generated Report for your personal use or internal business use, including for submission to law enforcement, regulators, insurers, legal counsel, or courts, where appropriate.

You may not:

resell, sublicense, publish, commercialize, or mass-distribute the Report;
remove Bloctopus branding, authorship, or disclaimers from the Report; or
reproduce or exploit the Report Generator’s methodology, templates, or logic except as expressly permitted by law.

11. Privacy and Data Processing

Use of the Report Generator may involve the processing of personal data and incident-related data, including wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, screenshots, communications, and related materials.

Bloctopus will process such data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. You acknowledge that some blockchain-related data may be publicly visible by nature, but when linked to an identifiable person it may constitute personal data.

You should not submit private keys, seed phrases, passwords, or credentials through the Report Generator unless Bloctopus has expressly requested them through a secure channel under a separate written engagement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

the Report Generator and all Reports are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis;

Bloctopus disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability;

Bloctopus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of data, reputational harm, or business interruption; and

Bloctopus’s total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Report Generator or any Report shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you for the relevant Report.

Nothing in these Product Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bloctopus, its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or relating to:

your misuse of the Report Generator;
your breach of these Product Terms or applicable law;
your submission of false, misleading, unlawful, or unauthorized User Inputs; or
your unlawful use of any Report.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Product Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, excluding conflict-of-laws rules, subject to mandatory consumer protection law where applicable.

Subject to mandatory law, the courts of Ljubljana, Republic of Slovenia, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these Product Terms.

15. Final Provisions

If any provision of these Product Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.

Bloctopus may update these Product Terms from time to time. The version published on the Website at the time of your use or purchase will apply.
